Thames Court, a new 300,000-square-foot office building, occupies a prominent and historic site along the River Thames in London. The building comprises five stories above ground. A large stone portal along Upper Thames Street frames a glass wall buffer zone that protects the office space from traffic noise. Two external stair towers break down the scale of the long side elevation. The River Thames facade continues the rhythm established along the side and steps out toward the river to increase the sizes and varieties of floor plates.
